Is Palm Court free?
Yes. The browser version is free, with no account and no download. A few ads between matches keep it that way. There are no purchases in the game: Fuzz, unlocks and cosmetics are all earned by playing.
What do I need to play?
A computer with a current browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari). For motion controls, add a smartphone or a webcam. Without either, play with the mouse or keyboard.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
The game is made for a computer screen, with the phone as your racket. It runs on tablets and phones with touch controls (tap to swing), but a bigger screen is much more fun.
Which control is best?
The phone racket feels most like real tennis and has the least lag. The paddle is the steadiest webcam option. Hand tracking needs no equipment at all, just good light.
How do I aim?
With timing. Swing early to go cross-court, late to go down the line. The shape of your swing adds topspin or slice, and its speed sets the pace. See How shots work.
Can I play against a friend?
Yes: Play a friend online creates a match link to send. Your friend opens it, presses Join, and you play in real time.
Privacy and safety
Does the webcam record me?
No. Each camera frame is analysed on your device and thrown away. Nothing from the camera is uploaded, recorded or stored. Details are in the privacy policy.
Do I need an account?
No. Your progress is saved in your browser on your device.
Is it safe to swing my phone?
Hold on tight, use a wrist strap or a grippy case, and clear some space around you. Swing within your reach, away from people, screens and lamps.
Why are there ads?
Ads pay for the free version. They appear on the website and between matches, never during a point. The Steam version has no ads.
Progress
Where is my progress saved?
In your browser, on this device. Another browser, another device or a private window starts fresh, and clearing the site’s data deletes your save.
What is Fuzz?
Fuzz is the in-game currency, named after the felt on a tennis ball. You earn it by playing matches, daily challenges and achievements, and spend it in the Pro Shop on outfits, racket paint and other cosmetics. It can’t be bought.
How do I unlock the other pros and courts?
By levelling up, or with Fuzz. Clay, grass, golden hour and night courts unlock at early levels.
The game
Are the players real?
No. Every player, tournament and sponsor in Palm Court is fictional. Palm Court isn’t affiliated with any real player, tour or brand.
Is Palm Court coming to Steam?
Yes, a full release for Windows is planned. Wishlist it on Steam to hear when it launches. The browser version stays free.
